The short explanation is that this is a campaign journal, a blog which details the exploits of my roleplaying game campaign in narrative form. You’ll also find a page with descriptions of the player characters as well (at least as soon as I get it posted).
The longer version is that I’m constantly trying to find new ways to enhance the campaign experience. Our group meets fairly irregularly, and finding ways to keep people up to speed on the campaign was always a priority. I began by using a wiki that could be easily updated by all the participants. Then I started keeping a blog of my own hobby creations, both RPG’s and wargaming called Strange Vistas here on WordPress. After getting tired of hassling with the wiki interface, I have decided to move the campaign journal (the most updated part of the campaign) to a blog layout instead.
Here is some other very basic information. At present I’m utilizing the RPG ruleset Castles & Crusades, an OGL-compatible fantasy system. I don’t know if I’ll make the switch to 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons when the new rules come out.
